Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) Level 3 and Level 4

Awarded by NCFE at Level 3 and Level 4. It is the minimum qualification needed to teach in organisations offering Post 16 education and learning.  The award is aimed at any one who needs an initial award for their role as a teacher, trainer or tutor within an FE college, Adult and Community Learning Centre, Training Providers and those delivering work based training such as within voluntary, community, private and public organisations.

Level 3 - involves identifying learning needs, planning for learning, engaging learners who have differing characteristics, and assessing learning. The Award at this level provides an introduction to basic practical teaching skills, principles and theory.

Level 4 - the Award at this level provides more in-depth theories and principles. A Level 4 Award is essential for those who wish to become specialist teachers of literacy, language or numeracy.
Assessment is by completion of a short portfolio of evidence, assignments and observation in the classroom.

We offer a 1 day workshop, supported by distance learning. Tutorial support is provided by telephone and email. It can be completed within three months.

ILM Award in Team Leading (Workplace) Level 2
Ideal for aspiring or existing Team Leaders this qualification covers modules in Developing Yourself as a Team Leader, Motivating the Team and Leading your Work Team.
Tutorial support is provided by the teaching team via 3 workplace face to face meetings, telephone and email contact and course materials.
Start dates are arranged to suit you.

Discounted rate of £499 plus VAT per person, with further discounts for 2 or more staff at the same location
